About Our Founder
Founder and President of Tender Heart Home Care Agency, LLC., A Referral Agency
Established in 2003
Local resident of Danville, CA for 24 years, Judy Horvath founded Tender Heart with her Mom in mind. In the search for care for her Mom, the great need, and lack of resources at that time was the stimulus. An ever aging population wants only the best in care for their loved ones and Tender Heart was founded on the premise that they offer the next best thing to family care.
Judy was originally in the social services field in a hospital setting, and had been active in the business community for the 10 years prior to Tender Heart’s establishment. She had served many years in education prior to that, and she sought a way to be purposeful in the community, in a service field and maintain her own business at the same time. She found her niche in the “In-home care” field, by assisting individuals to remain in their home for as long as possible. In recent years she has established herself as an expert in the field by serving on panels, such as the recent local TV Show People Need People, on Aging in Contra Costa County. Through a course of study she received the Designation of Certified Senior Advisor, or CSA. She is also an active member of the Planning Committee for SHARE, (Social & Health Area Resource Exchange).
Tender Heart was thus founded with the idea that respect leads to independence. We truly value the individual’s independence and know that Heart, both “heart of the caregiver” and “heart of the client”, is very important is maintaining their independence. Our motto is “Let us Put our Heart in your Home”.
Tender Heart approaches the unique needs of each individual with dignity and compassion and demands nothing less from each affiliated caregiver. Clients are from varying backgrounds and ages but are concentrated primarily on the elderly in less vigorous physical condition. All have an abiding wish to remain independent in their own homes and TenderHeart enables them to maintain that independence as long as possible.
Serving Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, Tender Heart is a member of the Social and Health Resource Exchange (SHARE) of Contra Costa County, the Better Business Bureau, and the National Home Care and Hospice Care Organization.
